Private House – Brussels
The large volumes, high ceilings, and hard surfaces (concrete, exposed brick, large windows) created a clear risk of echo and disturbing noise in daily life: difficult conversations, amplified TV sound, and a general feeling of a “hollow” and less welcoming environment. The challenge was to integrate an effective acoustic solution without altering the contemporary aesthetic of the project.
Ozone Acoustics designed and applied a sprayed acoustic coating across the entire ceiling of the main living area. The solution was adapted to the existing structure, respecting metal beams and wall junctions, and executed on-site with an optimized thickness to ensure high sound absorption. The deep blue colour was selected in collaboration with the owners and the architect to create a standout ceiling that defines the personality of the home.
After the intervention, the main living spaces offer comfortable acoustics: conversations are clearer, noise levels decrease quickly, and the overall atmosphere feels warmer and more pleasant. The client highlights the significant before-and-after difference, both in daily comfort and in the quality of family gatherings and visits, and particularly appreciates achieving this improvement without sacrificing the project’s design.
